Air India Express announces reinstatement of flight operations to Qatar, Bahrain

Air India Express will resume flight operations to Qatar and Bahrain, along with additional flights to the UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia, starting 30 April 2026, the airline said in a press release on Thursday.

The airline said that its daily flights across West Asia have now increased to over 40 with connectivity expanded to several major cities in the Gulf, including Al Ain.

Flight services are resuming from major Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi, Kozhikode, Bengaluru and Lucknow.

Flight services to the Gulf region were severely disrupted due to the Iran war. However, with a ceasefire in place and both countries engaged in diplomatic efforts to seek an end to the war, the services are gradually returning to normal.
